Arthur’s seat is another cool spot to watch the sunrise. With its unique rock formations, the landscape will remind you of Grand Canyons in the United States. There is a tragic story behind Arthur’s seat. It is said that Arthur Mallet lost his wife and kids in a tragic accident on the Savitri River. Arthur used to come and grieve at this point and therefore, the name Arthur’s seat.

2) Visit  Pratapgarh Fort

Pratapgarh Fort — a historic landmark is one of the most popular tourist attractions near Mahabaleshwar. It was built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja in 1656 to mark the struggles of Maratha empire in achieving Swaraj. With its splendid ponds, walkways and dark chambers, Pratapgarh Fort holds many untold mysteries for its visitors.

3) Take a Shikara ride over Veena Lake

Veena Lake is one of the major attractions in Mahabaleshwar. Surrounded by lush greenery and natural beauty, the lake offers colorful small boats called ‘shikara’. Either rent a boat or take a private boat tour and just soak in the view around!
