Basic Invite | Create Your Perfect Holiday Card

Can’t believe how time flies and not even a month left for Christmas! It is one of my favorite times of the year when everywhere looks so magical and festive. From exploring old towns Christmas village or markets to decorating Christmas tree at home to smelling the fragrance of the festivity around, Christmas is just the perfect time of the year when the whole world is in full holiday spirit.

With Christmas comes many holidays traditions and one such tradition is sending holiday cards. Though with the advancement of technology, electronic communication is dominating the whole world but Christmas is that time of the year when most of the people prefer the conventional approach.

The History of sending Christmas Holiday Cards

The tradition of sending Christmas Holiday cards was started in the United Kingdom by Sir Henry Cole in 1843. He was a public servant who set-up the Post office and was an Assistant Keeper. He wanted ordinary people to use Post office in those days. Therefore, he came up with an idea of sending Christmas cards. Christmas cards became much more popular and were produced in large numbers from about 1860. You can read more about it here.

If you’re like me who prefers the conventional approach, nothing would delight you more than sending perfect holiday cards to your loved ones this holiday season.

About Basic Invite

While doing the research for my perfect holiday card this year, I stumbled many websites until I found Basic Invite โ€” an online store with over 250 Christmas cards and Holiday cards designs to make your perfect customized card. It is one of the few websites that allows you almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. That means, once you select a design you can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options so that you can make sure the card is exactly how you want it down to the minute details.

While scrolling the Basic Invite website,  I found that it allows you the ability to order a printed sample of your actual invitation so you can see exactly how it will print as well as feel the paper quality before placing your final order.

The Basic Invite’s website has over 40 different colors of envelopes available to choose from your perfect card.  All the envelopes are peel and seal so that they can be quickly and securely closed without licking a single one.

One feature that I absolutely loved about Basic Invite was their Address Capturing Service that allows you to simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request your friends and familyโ€™s addresses which will be stored in your account and can then be selected during the design process. Basic Invite offers recipient address printing at no cost on all Christmas card orders.

Basic Invite also has foil holiday cards available in gold, silver, and rose gold. You can choose flat or raised foil on all of the foil designs.
